Hallo und willkommen in der Kartause und im Museum San Martino!
Aus diesem Gebäude des 14. Jhs., umgeben von in Terrassen angebautem Boden, genießt man einen fantastischen Blick auf den Golf Neapels. Kostbare Kunstwerke sind hier ausgestellt: Skulpturen, Fresken, Gemälde… bis zu den Krippenfiguren aus dem 17. Jh. und vieles anderes mehr.
Die so genannte „Tavola Strozzi“, ein Ölgemälde aus etwa 1472, ist besonders interessant denn sie zeigt Neapel vom Meer gesehen. Einige dort dargestellte Gebäude sind überdimensioniert. Somit wollte man ihre Bedeutung hervorheben.
Die Kartause ist ein feines und wunderbares Beispiel der Gotik und des Neapolitanischen Barocks. Kommt und besucht uns! Lasst uns in die Geschichte zurückgehen und das Wunder der Vergangenheit genießen!
Hello! Welcome to San Martino, Monastery and Museum.
From this 14th century building, surrounded by acres of terraced land, there is a spectacular panoramic view of the Gulf of Naples. Valuable pieces of artwork are displayed here, ranging from sculptures, frescoes, paintings, woodwork, the maritime museum to the 17th century Christmas Nativity scenes and figures and to the many, many other items of great beauty and importance.
The ‘Tavola Strozzi’, a long oil painting on wood dating back to the late 1400s is of particular interest as it shows Naples as viewed from the sea. Some of the buildings are enlarged and not to scale. This was to demonstrate their importance at the time.
The monastery itself is a fine and magnificent example of Gothic and Neapolitan Baroque architecture. Come and visit us. Step back onto history and enjoy the wonders of the past.
Salve e benvenuti a S. Martino, Certosa e Museo!
Da questo edificio del XIV secolo, circondato da un terreno coltivato in terrazzamenti, si gode una vista fantasti- ca sul Golfo di Napoli. Sono qui custoditi preziosi capolavori: sculture, affreschi, di- pinti… fino alle figure dei presepi del Settecento e molto altro ancora.
La cosiddetta “Tavola Strozzi”, un dipinto ad olio del 1472, è di particolare interesse perché mostra Napoli vista dal mare. Alcuni edifici lì riprodotti sono sovradimensionati. Si voleva così mettere in rilievo la loro importanza.
La Certosa è un deli- cato e meraviglioso esempio di gotico e barocco napoletano. Venite a trovarci! Lasciatevi riportare indietro nei secoli a gode- re la meraviglia del passato!
